Continuing our popular series of classes at the Foster Museum, you can wander through the gallery and feast on the paintings of British Watercolorist and Explorer, Tony Foster, then sit down and learn the fundamentals that he stresses are essential to successful outcomes in your own art.

You can register individually or for the whole series. Here is a brief outline on what we will cover each week:

  • Week One (August 12): We start at the very beginning, so you know how to hold your pencil, draw straight lines and circles, and use guidelines to draw an eye so realistic you will surprise yourself!

  • Week Two (August 19): You'll learn different marks that create shading, and draw a magnolia flower!

  • Week Three (August 26): Learn how to create three-dimensional forms, then draw fruits that are so realistic you'll be surprised.

  • Week Four (September 2): Activating all your drawing skills, you will draw a still life.

All materials are provided, and students may also bring their own.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund (less processing fees) with 7 days' advance notice of a single class or the first session; no refund thereafter due to the cost of materials and planning.
