Our Mission
We strive to bring drawing experiences to people everywhere - whether you are a complete novice or an experienced hand - you are welcome here. We have designed our teaching books, live-streamed and in-person workshops and classes to inspire your creative practice and build your confidence at each step.
Our Community Activities
In 2022, we embarked on a mission to bring the joy of drawing to as many people as we can, especially those who may not have easy access to art supplies or education. Your support will help us pursue our mission of making art more accessible to all. Proceeds will go towards providing our workshops, classes and books suited for all ages and artistic levels to individuals and groups in underserved communities. We need your help to fulfill our mission.
The Joy of Drawing Club has established a proven system and curriculum that has brought the therapeutic benefits of drawing into the lives of over 250 individuals in the Bay Area.
Our Club
Where Art Meets Community
The Joy of Drawing Club was founded in 2018 by Caroline Mustard and Katy Lea, co-authors of The Joy of Drawing book and video series, as a place people could meet up both in person and online with like minded folks who love to draw and create. It is for all levels of students from beginners to the more experienced.
Meet Your Head Instructor
Since her earliest years growing up in the wilds of Cornwall in the South West of England, Caroline Mustard has been drawing and painting.
Caroline graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts from Brighton Art College. Leaving the UK in her 20’s, traveling to Canada, and then onto California. She quickly became obsessed with digital art and has gone on to find success as a professional artist, accepting commissions and exhibiting widely in the local bay area.
