Painting Light, Life, and the Modern Woman
A Learn from the Masters In-Person Workshop

The Atherton Arts Foundation Studio, Holbrook Palmer Park, 150 Watkins Ave, Atherton CA.
Berthe Morisot has been called the radical eye of the Impressionist movement and one of its most original voices. In this workshop, we will learn about her process:
We will examine the extraordinary freshness of her approach to capturing everyday life - and her luminous use of color.
We will explore how her daring compositional sense captured fleeting moments of movement and light.
In the final section of the class, after some drawing and painting exercises, we will complete a painting inspired by one of her own artworks, or an artwork of our own inspired by hers.
Acrylic paints and canvas are included with the fee, unless you prefer to use watercolors; in that case, please bring your own.
