This workshop provides step-by-step instruction and guidance through the process of building a watercolor painting of Half Dome with the orange and golden fall colors of Yosemite National Park. Enjoy tea and biscuits in the museum as you study Tony Foster’s landscape watercolors before class.

Appropriate for both newcomers to watercolor as well as experienced painters, instruction begins with a series of simple warm up exercises, applying watercolor to paper. Line drawing using a photograph as guide is followed by the application of soft watercolor washes, building up the colors to match the beautiful bright colors of the season.
